The Microsoft DreamSpark student program makes available, at no charge, a broad range of development and design software for download. The program is now available to more than 35 million college students in Belgium, China, Finland, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the U.K. and the U.S. Broad global coverage, as well as an expansion of the program to high school students around the world, potentially reaching up to 1 billion students worldwide, will continue throughout the next year.
ProtectNetwork® is an open standards based Enterprise Identity Service on the Internet. Organizations use ProtectNetwork to provision their users (e.g. Guests, non-employees, vendors and partners) into the service. Once provisioned, the users are then able to sign-in to trusted websites and applications using their ProtectNetwork credentials. As a result, enterprise customers do not have to incur the cost of implementing and supporting expensive IDM (identity management) infrastructure in-house to manage and authenticate users.
As a trusted service provider, Microsoft Dreamspark site consumes trusted user attribute assertions from the ProtectNetwork® Enterprise Identity Service.
The ProtectNetwork® Identity Service is also available via the:
